We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, thank you for making the battle come to life! Good access and signposting too. One reason for coming was to see Moneylaws a mile or so to the west. Records show that a Henry del Strother purchased a property called Moneylaws in 1360 (allowing for the intervention of Edward III who gave it to his mistress Alice Perrers who conveyed it back to Henry in 1369), and that it remained in our family until 1581. The house was "desolate in warre time in 1550".
We should be happy to share our family history on which there is some detail ( for example del Strothers were Sheriff of Northumberland, Sheriff of Roxburgh Castle, Mayor of Newcastle) and delighted to hear of any other connections
