Windfarm Threat
11/05/2009
North Northumberland is under threat from giant wind turbines.
A public enquiry is now underway following an appeal by three potential wind farm developers. If this appeal is successful the landscape will be blighted by 110 metre high wind turbines. The three developments would cover the historic route taken by the English army to their victory at the Battle of Flodden and would be visible from the Battlefield itself.
Currently the Battlefields Trust states that Flodden is among the five least spoilt battlefield sites in the UK, Let's keep it that way!
If you value our heritage and history, please help in any way that you can.
